& If you must fall~ Do so in a graceful way~ Stand tall on your toes.
I have to suppress my heart, Till the pain fills my mind, My lungs frozen in time, I suffocate the memories, To patrol my thoughts, I take life from my dreams, My own hands at fault, I stab, I cut, I bleed. I silence cries of mercy, Murdering the old me.
Would you love me then, If you could see my halo, Shining in the dark. Would you be so quick, To tear me apart, If you knew wings were beneath my spine. Will I then find your heart?
I rather be bitter than sweet. The less I attract~ The fewer bites and stings.
In this garden of mind~ Awareness is the maintenance~ To clear wasteful thoughts.
1. My heart has the strength~ To connect after it breaks~ To heal from heartache. 2. In my spirit lays~ Courage to overcome~ Fear of letting go.
The union of breath~ My spirit and my temple~ Meet in meditation.
